Boxwood winery is in the middle of Middleburg, Virginia, and is close to Foxcroft Girls Academy and the Salamander resort owned by Sheila C. Johnson. The property of Boxwood winery is 16 acres of rolling hills and vineyards with a pond and small rowboat, rockwork structures, ornate iron gates, fences and fields. Originally Boxwood winery started as a horse farm, one of the first ones in Loudon County. Many horse farms populate the rolling countryside of Virginia now.
